Don't you think I haven't? I've changed profile 3 times, changed way I look at guys and vet, changed different approaches in talking to them but nothing has worked, first 9 months I was on here and was still living with my ex it was great but as soon as I was single and in my own place, that was it

well simone iam flummoxed, i think u seriously need a fem friend who may introduce u to some of their pervious oops previous or current meets. I have had 1 no show in my 3 years on fab by a single female(possibly single lol)

We must be very lucky cos we have never had a let down. Always a social meet first & then if they were not to turn up, we still get a couple of hours having a drink together.

I understand what no shows are but what are you classing as letdowns? Guys that you have made a date to meet and then they cancel or guys that you chat to and then it just fizzles out

If the problems I think you are referring to are the health issues, they are recent additions as obviously when chatting to someone they come up, so best let them know in advance, I have actually had 10 that after arranging the meet either never contact again or leave site, 7 cancellations and 5 no shows

i wouldn't be too sure. i would say 70% of the people who message me can't possibly have read all my profile

or maybe they have but wanna chance their arm anyway

The people have mailed the woman and chatted enough to arrange meets, so I assumed her profile wasn't putting these people off.

i would say you need to start vetting guys more. asking them for contact numbers so you can make arrangements over the phone.

if they are unwilling or unable to provide details then strike them off the list.

if you could have had a potential 22 seperate meets + the ones that have veri'd you then you are obviously not short of admirers.

rather than losing faith, adopt an approach that will hopefully get you a smaller number of quality meets

Even if the males didn't read Simones profile the exhange of messages must have occoured in order to arrange a meet. Both parties wouldnt have arranged it if either of them were not happy with whats been said within the mails.

how i read the profile (and i maybe wrong) is that maybe she doesn't chat upfront ?

without going into profile detail there is 1 para that led me to believe that 'chat' may well be online exchange of messages as opposed to physically picking up the phone

if that's the case she is more likely to attract what i term 'website wankers' ie like the idea, but wud sooner toss off about it than act on it

No I do not cam at all ( don't have one ) and normally no spur of the moments as I like to chat first to get a feel for the person, afterall I will be letting them into my home

We don't chat on the phone. We only chat on MSN once or twice to arrange a meet and when it is arranged a play phone number is given out to use incase they have to cancel.

The way everyone does things is different, we use the same way as this lady and we have no problem

Personally i dont think i have ever met anyone within 3 weeks of first contact. I like to take time and get to know them, then i meet when i feel comfortable.

Not everyones way of doing things i know but ive never had a no show in over three and half years on here

As I said in the original post let downs/no shows and cancellations and the 3 weeks thing was only added yesterday as I have had some sayiny they want meets but making excuses for over a year

The reason I asked was a lot of men ( I say men as that is all we chat with with a _iew to meeting ) say what they think you want to hear to get what they want, and we learnt early on when you started chatting that a lot are just hear for dirty chat or cam.

You could still be getting those people if your chats didn't come to anything as you have had 15 people just change their mind and not get back in touch.

Sadly you can't really do anything about the people who talk rather than meet other than try and sniff them out earlier.

to the OP... dont discount clubs please...they can be social, without u having to play infront of anyone, thats why they have private rooms in most places.Perhaps its time to rethink the chatting to guys for months on end, as it may be the case u are being strung along, particularly when it comes down to the nittygritty of attaining an actual meet, of course i cannot comment on perhaps why you are getting what appears a high number on nonmeeters but I'd imagine the types of people more likely to meet are those who are actively meeting others,like me....cos am a slut!

You see thats exactly it...there are too many men around to waste our time chatting to someone who cleary wants different things than us...so yeah, we would block them on MSN then.

Weeding them out is time consuming sometimes, as the OP has found, but we accept not everyone we chat to will turn out matched for a meet.

dont give up simone ...i had a fab meet today with someone id been chatting to and trying to meet for 3 years !! yes honestly.. weve just never been in the right place or time but today we were ...and we met very spontaneously ...he was completely FAB !!! i cant smile wide enough

ive learned how to wheedle out the timewasters fantasists and pic collectors but ive been doingthis 6 years !! def no nos are showing everything youve got on MSN and sending naughty text pics ...i could go on ..there are some genuine guys out there you just have to be more selective ..

I had a guy who used to message asking if we were to meet, to describe exactly what I would be wearing. Well its always a mistake to get me to chat on the subject of clothes and after 5 long messages in which I regaled him on all the new holiday clothes Id bought, I never from him again

There is no way to ascertain how meets had been arranged, conversations being exchanged, manners on how things were conducted etc. etc...

I for one will not hesitate to call off a meet at the very last minute if my gut feel tells me something is not right.

I would always contact the other person to let him know though, as I believe it lacks grace to let someone down after making a promise to meet him without the courtesy of a simple text message at the very least.
