little house on the praire

I had a guy come to my house today for me to sign some forms. I had to sign them and he was taking them away. It was a 5 minute job.

I invited him in while i signed them and he said they werent allowed to when i asked him why he said for their own safety. Has society really come to this. It was only for something on my pension

I think it's a good rule to have. It protects him from potential attack but also from false accusations.

I had some new scaffolding poles delivered last week. When the guy pulled up I told him straight through to the back, only to get told "sorry, I'm not allowed to step over the threshold of the house. I'll just leave them on the drive"

Its horrible when its cold and wet too. Things like that used to be done at the office of the company but I guess the local ones have all been closed.

A side effect of our litigious society.

If I were a tradeswoman I'd be very wary about going in to people's homes after some of the things I read on here.

I miss being a plumber sometimes.

Never knowing if the customer is going to be batshit crazy or nice and lovely

Certainly dealt with some odd character when I was in the trade!
