It seems that nowadays a swinger is everything, anything and nothing and as soon as some one says its something in particular someone else will say that's not so

Over 30 years ago in my late teens and early twenties I was part of threesomes, foursomes, wife swapping and mini orgies, only then we called it 'having fun with your mates' while not having a clue that such a thing as 'swinging' existed!

So I think the answer is... 'Swinging is doing things that most people (not all it seems) wouldn't want their mum to know about
