Would it honestly feel better to have an inbox full of 'no thanks' as that's what a delete means.

Rude or not. It is what it is and no amount of moaning about it will change it.

How would an inbox full of 'no thank you' improve your fab experience?

"I personally find it rude"

It is fab...and unfortunately not everyone has manners or even thinks about sending a polite 'no thanks you're not my type ' message...

Stick with it... Rome wasn't built in a day as they say.

Why get yourself to a social?

Go to a club?

Wishing you all the best Op

And which one out of the other 100+ messages do get a reply?

Do you go out of your way to politely decline all of the unsolicited mail which pops through your door? Ring the local pizza company and say thanks but no thanks?

The FAQ's state that a no reply is a no thanks. Many women on here get a lot of mail and If we spent all our time on here replying to the ones we didn't want to meet we wouldn't have time to chat to the ones we did.

And several verifications with one quite recently?

Sorry but feels more and more like a "look at me" thread or "someone i really fancy doesnt fancy me back"

"I personally find it rude"

There are degrees of rude.

Rude, in my opinion, is those who continually message asking why I'm not responding to a three word message. Or getting nasty when i don't respond.

I'm not sure how your messages go, but if, like most on here, they include invitations to do things that clearly show my profile hasn't been read, the delete buttom is used immediately. Ongoing messages asking why I've deleted get the sender blocked.

It's not, as some claim, from a "sense of entitlement that women have on this site." It's having the choice of who I chat with and/or meet with.

"I personally find it rude"

It's been said before though that it's in the FAQs that a no response is not interested. It's nothing personal.

I've unticked looking for men. So when a guy messages he'll get the warning - not looking for men so do you still want to message. If he chooses to message, am I obliged to reply? Bearing in mind I'm not looking for men.

A woman with a deleted message, surely not.

I'd wager that if you did get constantly deleted, you'd look at possible reasons why, and try to change it before starting a thread about it?

Delete your sent messages everytime. You never think about it then...focus on the inbox. bit empty today though.

Reap what you sow...

I think my replies could be much ruder so I just delete. It's best not to say anything at all if you have nothing nice to say.

If it's a nice thoughtful message where they have taken their time, thought about and read my profile, then I have in the past replied with a nice message back saying no thank you. If they want effort back they have to put it in first. X

your imagination

"I personally find it rude"

Thing is... Its a defense mechanism... If you respond with a polite 'no thanks', then you invariably get either an instant stream of abuse for being stuck up your own arse and lovely remarks in the vein of 'now I look at your pics again you're too fat/ugly/old for me anyway'.... or.... You'll get a reply saying 'thanks for your response, but can I ask why not?', and find yourself drawn into a dialogue with someone you've no interest in anyway....

I hardly ever message anyone, has to be a very good reason for it. Have had far more meets from other ways of communicating through the site than messages, so put my effort into those instead.

As far as a single guy trying to get meets is concerned I think the messaging system is pretty much broken, crippled by the volume of single guys on here.

"I personally find it rude"

I can only suggest you try to not take it personally. Otherwise you may not last much longer on here.

Has anyone used Shags catchphrase yet? I may have been a bit lazy and not read the whole thread...

But then this is where you'd rise above it...failing that Block button is your friend

Found similar thoughts, then I discovered the forums.

Started interacting on them, and attended a social.

Massive change in how fabs works, and who you chat with.

It really is the best way, to get a happier fab existence.
