Definitely a sapiosexual. The mind is the most important sex organ for me. A guy could look like Channing Tatum but that on its own isn't enough. However if someone also has a,real enthusiasm for a subject and can talk about it with passion I'm instantly drawn into them.

As far as I know, sapiophile and sapiosexual are almost synonymous, except perhaps that sapiosexual leans more toward physical attraction to someone of high intelligence, whereas sapiophile may include broader feelings of attraction, not necessarily sexual ones.

The mental attraction is a must, yes I can look at a nice body and think naughty thoughts but if a man relies totally on his body and doesn't talk in coherent sentences then it's just an empty package.

I like a man that can make me laugh one minute but also hold a good conversation. And be able to flirt in a not too crude manner as what my mind can imagine is a lot sexier than having it spelt out in detail.

Where did this attitude come from then. Clichés are always routed from something aren't they. We know gold diggers exist (men&female) but how cynical is it that this is how I see people pulling women. Some pics on Fab have the guys sat on car bonnets wearing rich suits and flashing bling.

From the gold diggers, I think young girls especially get dazzled by flash cars and money. But as you get older you realise that it's just vacuous and doesn't fill the need for something real. I'm not saying it's totally the younger women who respond to that as some women want that. Just that most maturer women want a bit more substance.

I'm a complete sapiophile. Yes, there has to be an initial physical attraction but that can dissipate almost instantly as soon as I find they can't engage my brain. Now that I admit I'm guilty of doing, not the shopping in my pjs, (no one needs to see that) but looking at people who dress down and judging them. I'm no snob far from it, but have always tried to present myself decently. I think we all have our expectations, from how people look. It's normal human behaviour x

Its both, really, isn't it? Physical attraction and personality are both necessary, but not sufficient, conditions for a successful meet for most women, I'd imagine.

But when we are talking about sex alone, as opposed to a relationship, the physical attraction rises in importance, for me, while the personality condition is lessened where only certain things in someone's personality really matter. This isn't the same for all women, but its how I operate on here.

Maybe it is, there are people who I talk to on here that I wouldn't necessarily talk to in real life. Because the forums provide an opportunity to get to know someone rather than make snap judgments, I think that our profile pic is what we think other people want to see and not what we like about ourselves.

I know that many wouldn't speak to me and judge me on looks, that's fine but yes what we look like and the image we try to project doesn't always match our personality.
