To be fair, he was very young, and the whole event was turned into a world-wide circus. He was probably not given the space, privacy or opportunity to process it all. Nor, I suspect, was he allowed to show any emotion. All the trappings of royalty, but not what he needed.

Harry is sharing after 22 years of silence on the matter to try to help others find some help for their own suppressed emotion (in association with a mental health charity campaign on the subject).
