How does everyone keep them selves safe whilst meeting?

I'm not talking about stds but like in case the person you're going to meet is a sociopath

Meet in a public place, tell a friend where you're going get them to ring after 20

Mins in case you need an escape route x

Try to have at least a phone call preferably video call before meeting

I have done a couple of meets that i may have actually been a bit risky. Like if i found out my daughter ever did or one of my friends did it i would be outraged..

Im lucky the guys i have met have been amazing but still.. bit risky :/

Going to a mans house as a first time meeting. Meeting down the dark road round the corner of my house. This was in cars. My husband knows what im doing but not with who or where.

My only reasoning is i spoke to both a lot beforehand and generally got a good feeling. I have cancelled or denied meets where i get an off feeling. So i cant honestly say why i went with it x

I too have done the whole risky meet thing, went to a guys house for the first meet and stayed over too.....however, we had been chatting for a long time, videoed, exchanged photos etc, knew an awful lot about each other personally, knew his profession (which I was able to google and confirm), so I guess I "felt" safer.

I do get a friend to give me a call.

I let my best friend know if someone is coming to my house and I only usually meet at my place anyway.

Hubby always knows exact details of where I'm going and contact details for the guy. I'll always text when I get there and often throughout.

He likes to get sent pictures aswell so he knows it's going especially well....

I pin drop my location to my best mate and call or text as soon as I leave. I have always got them on stand by for an emergency 'get me out of here' call

Their veries if they're recent and favourable.. also let a friend know I'll be meeting . If a car meet , somewhere public and covered with CCTV .

It's also good to chat beforehand to get a sense of them and whether they're what you're looking for or compatible.
