Riddle me this

So, today a guy was suppose to be calling to discuss the windows and doors, but because the wife is at work, he cancelled, apparently he has to speak to us both, now as the company advertise themselves with the "no obligation quote" why do both parties have to be there, surely just one of us is good enough, or is there some underlying sales technique being used here?

As said its so they don't waste their time as she may not like your choices which could entail a second visit & another quote.

Of course it could also be to try and get you to sign up on the day.
