Just an update for those that were involved in the thread last night.

He was talked down after two hours or so, obviously the police wouldn't divulge what it was about exactly but from his ramblings and shouting all I could make out is he "loved someone and they didn't anymore so what's the fucking point"

I couldn't tell if he was ill or massively pissed/stoned but bear in mind this is was the Saturday night of a four day bank holiday and this is tameside so therefore a three day bender of drink and or drugs is not out of the realms of possibility. Anyway he didn't end up on the floor BUT as I said to the copper last night that the bridges in tameside aren't really that high he agreed and said of the 34 jumpers (ones that actually jump he's had hundreds of attemps) only 3 have died as a result. So chances were had he jumped he'd have most likely just really hurt himself!

Alls well that ends well.

Thanks for the update, that's good news!Let's hope he sorts himself out or gets help for his problems

Well it could have ended a lot worse.

Seen the bad ending before years ago when someone jumped off a bridge into manny ship canal. It doesn't leave you for a while believe me!
