Are they really updates or do some people get it confused with Facebook? See people on a high and low from these! Or do I not understand the meaning " updates"

Some people have lots of friends and put updated on their profile rather than messaging them all.

I love updates they can give you a good indication of peoples personalities,sometimes good and sometimes bad,sometimes very peculiar

Oh yes I do agree you can defiantly tell a persons character from them , it is fun to read but are updates for what some people put on them! As some people don't do themselves any favours.

Not just that, they go completely "over the top" in their rants, often using BLOCK CAPITALS, to emphasise their points of _iew.

What does that do for me?

It turns me off, and I look elsewhere

I revised my profile over a few days at the start, then put one important update on it. That will be it.

Don't all rush to look, though

Rants and CAPS do amuse me, though.
