The only reason we know there are timewasters are because people on the forums say there are timewasters. It's never happened to us, and we certainly don't accept it as part of the lifestyle.

Well axactly, I'm not saying we haven't had cancellations. But they've been from people we knew well and reasons were given. And I'm not saying that we haven't chatted and for various reasons it hasn't gone anywhere. But we've never been fooled by someone on a Fab who never intended to meet.

And if its spotted before it goes to turning up and being stood up, you would be relieved more than thinking you've wasted your time. So there is a positive, somewhere.

It's important to define time-waster, as many activities are essential before a meet, that include communicating with people who may be suitable - but you finally do not meet, for a variety of reasons. None of those, or eve yourself, is a time-wasting person. You're just helping to refine your list of potentially suitable people, whilst always speaking with them as if they would become partners. It was always conditional on you finding sufficient mutually beneficial needs and availability etc.

I always assume I'll not meet most people I chat with - I'm optimistic by nature, so it may seem counterintuitive to think this way. But the odds of all parties being really well matched, when you have high standards, are poor imo.
