On Dec 31st we all say 'next years going to be my year'.. and honestly really looks like 2017 might just be mine!

Only 3 months in and my Hypothyroidism issue has finally been resolved after 7 years of troubles,, i've lost 3 stone 9 lb in 14 weeks, as of today i've just signed off ESA and start work on Monday. My HBA1C is 41 and 9 points under the diabetic range. In a years time my Endocrinologist will write off my diagnosis of Diabetes and put it down to pure metabolic influence.

I know this means i will always have the ability to fall into that range but the consultant is positive it was down to another illness which is now being treated correctly..

I lost my libido and as a result have not had sex or any form of intimacy with a man for around 4 years now. I'm starting to love myself emotionally and physically and crossing my fingers everything will return..

Life is good and i'm dammed proud of myself for loosing the weight. Still have a mammoth way to go, but i will bloomin get there in the end.

Think its a mix of a few things

My thyroid is now being treated correctly which helps my metabolism.

Mentally im in a great place and can make better food choices

I attend a local Slimming World class each week with great group support

I blog my food and write it all down on facebook and also the weight threads on here keep me focused(kinda therapeutic)

Also attend an NHS weight management program. The outcome is bariatric surgery but i dont want that,, just the education about healthy eating

Top work Miss Cute. you'll probably find the job will help with the weight loss and the weight loss will help with the job- and finally knowing what the cause is and how to treat it will help all round.

The weight didn't build up over night and it won't come off any quicker, so keep plugging away until you you get where you want to be- you'll feel much better physically and mentally as your fitness level improves.

I'm sure you'll find lots of encouragement here on those days of low motivation we all get too- a virtual slap on the arse and a prod in the direction of the exercise door if you need it awaits - keep up the good work
