Just watching the news and an article was on about professional female boxing.

Looked like they could throw a decent punch.

What's everyone's view on it?

If that's the career path then go for it is my view.

There are and have been some very skilled and talented female boxers and MMA fighters out there. It's nice that they're now getting more media coverage and respect for their achievements.

There are some excellent female boxers, both amatuer and professional.

I box for fun and take great pleasure in beating the men!

Too true. Probably a lot have trained like professionals for years and years. And deserve every reward and should get the big prize money like the men.

Lady friend of mine was a olympic standard boxer. I wouldn't have wanted to take her on.....well, not in the boxing ring anyway

Why does this need discussed?

Oh yes, of course they can, but it is tremendously patronising.

I think some lessons have been learnt in boxing since the Michael Watson/Eubank fight with doctors and paramedics at ringside. Still a dangerous sport for anyone, but so is a lot of things. Look at someone like Michael Schumacher drove cars at 200mph winning world titles. Then went skiing and ended up not falling and nearly died.

Well you won't purposely get punched unless your planning to take part in a boxing match or get into some scrap.

It the risk these men and women take when they climb into the ring.

I think both sexes are crazy for wanting to do it. Good for them though.
