hearing someone speak

one thing about online mediums is that you never get to hear how someone sounds.

i've had a couple of meets with people who have been so sexy til they opened their mouths.

mainly voices that just grated on me, but also one very bad speech impediment (sorry if that sounds insensitive)

i know it's my own fault as i rarely speak to people on the phone prior to arranging a meet, but has anyone else experienced this ?

Can't say I have. We usually find out quite a bit of info prior to meeting so if someone has said they hail from Liverpool and still have an accent then that's what we're expecting etc. I pay more attention to what someone says than how they say it.

i rarely speak to people on the phone when arranging meets etc as i get all shy and feel really funny about it. kind of odd when you consider i work in a call centre and speak to tons of different people a day lol

I have to admit to not playing with a man because his voice put me off. Thing is he looked like Daniel Craig but sounded like Joe Pasquale.

He was adopted and lived with his mum, and the whole social meet was taken up with his mum. He felt guilty for leaving her to meet me and she kept phoning him saying she was lonely.

Crying shame really!

EEK! that all sounds a bit like a horror film to me. If you'd gone back to his I bet his mumma would have locked you in the cellar for trying to steal her little baby away.

Lucky escape there methinks.

I always speak first. Its not just the voice though its how they speak and how they react to you that says so much.

It was really creepy as she insisted he wash and dress her - even though he had a sister nearby.

She phoned saying she was lonely, she phoned saying he hadn't bought her newspaper before he went "swanning off", she phoned saying she couldn't find anything to eat...it was a short social meet!

Look a film up called 'Bad Boy Bubby'

It's an Australian independent movie and if you want to see mother / son relationships taken to the extreme, the first half hour has to be seen to be believed !

I do not find timid male voices appealling.... and a timid voice on someone who lacks confidence is a turn off.

I generally I don’t mind accents, in fact some are lush. Though having said that…. I can’t listen to a female Essex dim-bint accent for longer than 30 seconds without wanting to resort to violence.... if I catch 10 seconds of 'The Only Way Is Essex' whilst channel hopping I feel the rage taking over.

little house on the praire

I would never meet anyone without a phone call. My speech is extremely bad somedays and my mouth droops like ive had a stroke. Its not everyday but some weeks it can be 3-4 days and some weeks nothing. But i know soon as i wake up when its there. Some days i have it and its only mild and my mouth doest droop. If i was meeting someone i hadnt met before and it was bad on the day of the meet i would cancel. If its someone i know well i just warn them

i had facial palsy when i was 25

that was scary

i did think i'd had a stroke

the docs reckoned it could have been due to the fact i had an open top car at the time and had been caused by wind in my ears

whatever it was that caused it, it took 6 months of physio to get it somewhere near right again

even now tho when i get tired, my left eye goes west a bit

(She/ her) in Sensualityland

It is not just the voice or the accent... it is how they sound; to me confident and intelligent with a real quick wit... now that is sexy at any pitch and with most accents.

Southampton

i have an accent so warn anyone before i meet them so its not a total shock .also warn them well in advance i have tattoos and piercings as now any of the above may not be someones personal preference .find it best to be upfrount saves wasting my time and theirs .

i persoanally havent had any issue with anyones accent.certainly not that would make me think twice about playing with them. its what they say rather than their voice thats more important to me . however if liam neeson or gino di campo wanted to talk dirty to me id no complain ....
