FabSwingers.com forum: Should I embrace the grey

Ok so atm I'm pondering letting my hair go grey. I usually dye it black but atm I think I'm rocking the grey in a mortica Adams kinda way. I don't know that % my grey is but I reckon about 80 to 90%. So shall I let it grow some more or bottle it?

You suit it dark. A streak of grey at the front might be cool. You can get dye stripper so you could strip a streak (what the hell that sounds weird!!)

Some women look great with grey hair, I think condition and style have a lot to do with that. A crop would look great and as you say you can always dye it if you don't like it.

Have you ever thought of going lighter? That's what I did and it does make roots less obvious.

I've thought the same about myself Hunwhen it needs colouring I look like a cross between a badger and cruella devile

Your hair looks lovely black so keep as you are

I know it's a sexist view and it's not mine but when a man goes silver or grey they say he looks distinguished but if a woman goes grey it's a case of ' ooh she's let her self go ' that's why I won't succumb just yet !! But you must do what feels right for you

i had the purple put in - only a temp colour and now its almost faded i look rather grey - im staying blonde is my decision - any help haha probably not

Do it! I could sit on my hair but needed a trim. I decided at the very last minute to have the chop after 20 years of very very long hair. It's shoulder length now. I love it.

I'm glad you made that decision. I think you will really rock the grey especially with that shade of lipstick. That combination of shades is quite sophisticated, I think. Push the boat out and go for a really expensive (initial) haircut and knock em out as soon as you enter the room with a swish of your hair!

I'd say embrace it. Then again, I'm a man so maybe it's easier for me. Either way, do whatever makes you happy. However, I will look forward to seeing you rocking it with some fabulous shades of lipstick as suggested above.

Yes it was the lipstick that does it. Think if I wore a pale shade my hair would just look drab. Xxx
