Driving out before and I noticed what looked like a £20 note in the middle of the road (yup I can spot these things), drove past it but then stopped, revered back, got out of the car and as eggs is eggs, it was a £20 note.

What's the most in cash terms have you found in the street?

A woman recently got community service for finding £20 and keeping it.

years ago I remember finding £500 in a bundle of £20 rolled up notes in the street...

I took it to the post office as I knew the woman in there, and handed it in..

a couple of days later she came round to our house with an envelope and in it was £50 for me...

the fella who'd dropped it had just won it on the horses...

East Sussex

When our kids were small and we were extremely strapped for cash I spotted a tenner blowing down a deserted street as we drove past. Mr N stopped, I nabbed the tenner and we carried on. Another time I was helping at a jumble sale and found an old £50 note in the pocket of some trousers.
