I happened to glance into a mirror this evening and thought...... OMFG! I look just like my own mother (on a good day!)... and she is 72.

Make-up clothes and fripperies stripped away, do you look your age or older or younger?

I dont think i look any younger or older, when I wear makeup I feel I look classier rather than younger.

Happy in my own skin apart from evans changing room, the lightening makes me look like death warmed up

your pics must be 30 years old.

i went to my sons football presentation night,2 years ago.

the other boys in the team,thought i was his brother,happy days.

I believe I can look 10y younger instantly by colouring my hair alone, however, I can't be arsed, and I like myself as I am, nothing to hide etc...

Im not sure, i actually think makeup ages me. Noones ever thought im older than i am and quite a few are surprised at how old i am. But my mum is really young looking so hopefully i will get younger looking as i get older lol

That's going to be tricky. Fab, for all it's bonus points, is a wholly artificial environment - at least as far as the vast majority of the country is concerned.

I wish I had an answer but I suppose people just extract the bits they want from comments and block the others.

I only take notice of someone who has nothing to gain from 'compliments'. Other women mainly (not friends). To be honest though, I dont really care. My husband loves the way I look.

My solicitor recently had me down as 41 and she seemed genuinely surprised when I told her I was 46. Got a smattering of grey at the temples but apart from that I'm still dark and handsome (I'm only 5'9 so the tall bit don't apply)

It does put a smile on your face doesnt it? lol. I had to take my daughter into the hospital because of something in her eye. She sat down at the machine and he asked didnt she have a parent or anyone with her? pmsl. she glanced at me and back at him saying what about my mum here?! lol He mumbled an apology and said he thought I was a friend. I could have been gracious but being me then enquired whether he was the right person to be examining eyes through that equipment with eyesight like that

OMG you have posted one of my favourite poems ever. A friend lost her mother this year and they read it at the service,and i shall ask for the same.

i think i look ancient,most people think i look early 30's,better than the other way round i suppose!

My mum went into hospital a couple of years ago to have her nose done. The nurse asked her if she had children and when she said yes she said whose at home looking after them and everyone always thought she was my sons mum.

My youngest is nearly 20 and looks 12! There's no doubt we're mother and daughter: two peas in a pod, standing side by side in a pub and her asking "what do you want mum?" She still gets asked for I'd.

I don't have any lines or wrinkles, have lovely skin and don't need make up. My hair has burgundy, aubergine low light.

However, when I'm due for a visit to the salon and my brows need waxing I feel frumpy and sadly my mother stares back at me from the mirror!

My mum had the most fantastic skin, hardly a wrinkle until the big C took it's toll.

I sent for a Garnier test pack, they sent 14 samples for you to apply to crows feet along with a chart which went from 10, heavy lines to 1 slight lines. The idea you guage which number you are, use the cream and not the diff.

As my eyes didn't even look like the 1 I decided not to bother.

I regularly get told I look up to 7, 8 years younger.

I thank my mum regularly for her good skin genes
