....do timewasters open a new Fab account? Any stats or knowledge on this?

If they open multiple accounts and say a card had to be used for verification, is it simple to reject a card used x number of times? Surely they would run out of cards, would they not?

What's your definition of a time waster. Can't answer the question without knowing really.

Erm, the ones that open multiple accounts!!

The ones that create an account, get abusive etc.. and then delete the account. Then open a new one.

Have you not frequent and read the forum threads about them?

There's plenty of time wasters with just one account though.

How is that a timewaster?

Even encrypted, I;m pretty sure that the site would be in very questionable grounds storing and using credit/debit card details ion such a way

We've for different ideas of what makes a time waster then. For me, someone that's made arrangements to meet and then fails to turn up without letting me know, has wasted my time.

Someone who joins to chat shit, get abusive, etc is wasting their own time. I'm here anyway so it's not wasting mine.

By law, you can keep a record of the card number, otherwise shops would have had to destroy PDQ copies, you are not allowed to store the security number on the back.

Have you heard something different? Which new law was that?

Ok, to keep you happy, lets go with your 2nd explanation. Now apply the none time waster to the original thread question where they go off the forum and then back on under a new persona. It may not bother some, but reading the many threads, many don't like to be messed about.

So how do you think that problem could be controlled.

I've no idea what the solution is. Many other sites have the same problems so it would suggest that there is no solving the problem.

It's only marginally less often than someone creates a new thread about timewasters here

Youl;ve heard of the data protection act presumably?

You cannot create a database of card details and then cross reference it to authenticate someone's genuine. Company;s that do store card details store them encrypted

"How many timewasters have you had this week OP?"

We haven't kept a spreadsheet on such statistics

We think it would be really nice if people answer the thread topic. Just seems many are intent on scrutinising it's detail, the OP etc.. Every thread we've read, we've got the gist, it's meaning. Evening with grammar and spelling errors, getting the gist is often easy to follow. Do some just spend their time discussing everything but the topic? We find this really bizarre and like to read constructive comments.

Suppose it's the nature of the beast

You asked about timewaster numbers. My question was related to your OP, not sure what you're struggling to understand.

I don't keep a spreadsheet either. At a guess I've chatted to 40 people this week, none lead to a meet. I don't consider any of them timewasters though, hence my question to you.

If people open new accounts specifically to timewaste they are easily avoided. Profiles show how long people have been on the site. "New 26 minutes ago" - Using my tiny brain I compute they probably just joined for a wank. Zero angst and no time wasted.

So are you saying that anyone who has just joined must be a time waster?.. hope nobody thought of me..actually now I think about it they did. As someone I tried to speak to deleted my message when I first joined and since I've started building up my profile they've started chatting to me. Even though I understand their reluctance to meet me then or even conversate..i explained I wouldn't meet them now but still happy to have a chat and banter. Oh no my profile wasn't blank either..pictures,decent text(more or less same as now)..photo verified within at least 3 hours of joining. They didn't want to know then so I don't want to know now. They later went on to say they respect for for sticking to my guns. Happy days since then

Fair point, sorry I should've clarified. It depends on what they say in their mails really. Profiles, time on the site, verifications and pics (or lack of) mean nothing to me. I base my opinion on how they seem as a person.

Glad you're happy now.
