Genuine question.

When I first joined (when I previously here a couple of years ago) I initially tried the whole 'scattergun' approach where I cluster mailed pretty much every single female in the area with a reasonably generic message. And got nowhere.

Then I changed my approach and really looked for people that I thought might be compatible and that I genuinely liked.

As a result I only messaged someone rarely, but properly read their profile and constructed a message tailored to them. Despite messaging just a fraction of those I used to the responses and success increased exponentially.

Without knowing your approach to messaging it might be a useful thing to consider your approach and read the outer advice threads on these topics in the forums (use the search function). Good luck!

Firstly I'm holding my head in hands. If I read one more "hows my profile" thread I'm going to explode.

I can't talk for all single women on here but I imagine most women, like me are looking for something alternative on here. They are not desperate, easy or looking for a quick fuck and go.
