So I just tried to upload a couple of photos of some friends of mine (female FB's) to my profile and they got rejected, as per the site rules (I expected this to happen).

The reason I did this was because someone on here has asked me for a photo of a particular person in reference to a party invite.

She sent me the following message on here, "If you upload a photo as private, not viewable by anyone you can upload a photo of the opposite sex. I have one of guys I play with on the site but can only message them. They are not viewable by anyone, even friends."

So this leads me to wonder if there are different rules for single guy profiles, female profiles or couples on here?

Why don't your lady friends just send their own pictures to the party host? Sooooo much easier.

Nope even private pics have to be moderated, as long as you are in the picture, blur out their face and select its a couple in the picture they should be approved.

Why are you being like that? Not everyone wants, or cares about having a profile on here - there's no need to cast aspersions simply because I'm a man.

Ffs

Right lets break it down for a picture even private ones to be moderated and approved this is whats needed

1. You both to be in the image

2. As you have a male profile her face must be blurred

3. When uploading it select that its a couple in the image.

No-one not even in private images can have other people's faces shown if they have a single person profile.

"That old chestnut"

Hardly the most positive of comments.

None of this addresses my question anyway about the site rules anyway, which are clearly different for men, women and couples.

OK, I understand the rules, but you're missing my OP - why has someone with a couples profile been able to upload photos of single men to their profile, but I can't do the same with a female photo?

I think people are missing OP's point.

He tried to upload pics of his fb's because he'd been told he could if they were private, by a female who claimed they had already done so.

As he couldn't, he's trying to find out if that's different for those with female or couples profiles.

Am I right OP?

The rules aren't different. You have to have the profile owner in the picture. Men. Women. Couple. TV. TS. Rules are the same. You're not being disadvantaged just by accident of gender.

A 'single' man had pics of me on his profile once. I guess the mods were having a bad day because I think the rules are the same for everyone.

If you wanted to upload that pic again blur their faces out

She probably hasnt, has she shown you these images? If they have been missed by a mod the profile should be reported.

If it bothers you change your profile to a couple one.

Plus I got what you were saying what I was those are what must happen for even private pics to be approved so regardless of what she says those are what has to happen.

The same photo rules apply to all gender of profiles.

You have to be in all of the pics you upload.

Only the profile holders face can be identifiable. So you have a male profile so you can't have a female face showing in any of your pics, even if she gives permission, same applies if this were a fem profile, no male faces identifiable.

A single man can not upload a pic with just a woman in it, just as a single woman cannot upload a male only pic.

All pics go through the mod process, even private ones.

But mods are human (not sure about Ruggers but don't tell her I said that she is scary), they can make mistakes.

There seem to be more & more prohibitive rules on here - I guess it's to out the fakes, but there are also more fakes on here than any other site as well!

I reckon they should make it more expensive to join - that would be the best way to rule out all the idiots pretending to be women/couples. It works well on the other sites I use that I'm not allowed to mention.

The rules on here about photos are way stricter than other sites because this site suffers WAY more than any other from fakes and idiots.

The reason for this is that Fab is too cheap, so any Tom, Dick or Sally can sign up and be an abusive asshole. It simply doesn't happen on other pay-sites.

I totally disagree there, we were on another site G signed us up for, I was not happy when I found it how much it had cost, and it was a nightmare. We got loads of absolute rubbish messaged to us, rarely people who were anywhere close to what we are looking for, it was less user friendly and we ended up cutting out losses and deleting the account.

I personally don't think the rules are strict about pics on here, having pics of other people who aren't the account holder seems like a minefield, who knows whether they have consented to the image being shared. Plus it gets confusing enough on couples profiles at times telling which person is the pics is one of the couple if the have lots of group shots with all faces blurred or not visible.

Sure, I understand this stance as well - there's no one-single answer so of course the mods have to stick to a simple formula. It's as you say, a minefield otherwise. I get it.

In my experience, pay-sites (this isn't really a pay-site as it's so cheap) are less likely to have fakes on them for obvious reasons. You have to be careful which site you choose obviously, as there are also LOADS of fake sites out there as well, that are simply there to collect your cash.

Since we're not allowed to talk about other sites on here (which I find strange and again, prohibitive) I can't recommend anything to you that I use with great success!

True, I'm sure it's quite a task and 24 hrs. One thing that I find strange, is the amount of fake profiles with what are clearly fake photos taken from the Internet - they're always the same format; crappy, short, freebie profiles, photos of very fit young women with almost the same text yet they appear daily by the truckload.
