The above film has just started on ITV.

Amazing it is now on mainstream TV, but does anyone remember the furore it caused in 1971 when first released?

How times have changed!

For years it was unavailible in the uk on video , I think when it was released at the cinema one scene from the film were a tramp gets kicked to death by the gang was said to be the motive for a copy cat killing .

Roman Polanski pulled the film in the UK the misconception was it had been banned.

I watched the film on video about 10 years ago when a friend from work who had a copy brought in from Holland.

Funny watching it now that it made such headlines

An unusual film that didn't follow other movies before. I wouldn't say brilliant and neither shit. It did make an impact at the time but less so now.

You`ve got yerself befuddled methinks..t`was a Kubrick film Anthony Burgess wrote the novel and screenplay, tho I could be wrong on the screenplay..

Great film..exploring behavourism..and wether governments would use it as a form of control..still a surreal disturbing film fer me ..love Kubrick...2001 is a masterpiece
