I think it's about time I learnt to drive, and was thinking about an intensive driving course as it's quicker, I was just wondering if anybody has had any experience of these, and thinks they are better than single lessons over many months.

I took a few lessons but got frustrated at waiting between lessons so I did an intensive course. I much preferred it.

If you've got friends/family that can take you out for practice too, that's a great way of building up the confidence and knowledge.

Although it can have an impact on relationships too!

Good luck

I am lucky enough to have an uncle who is a driving instructor so we did 3 full days and I did my test on the 4th day. It was hard work but Im glad I did it, I know so many people who give up after a while of taking single lessons.

Depends how confident you are - I had separate lessons ( one two hour lesson a week) for a few weeks then had 4 half days (4 hours)

yes...... I did the intensive route in the end

first thing i would say to anyone think of going this way is don't do it from scratch!!!!! you will be putting way way way too much pressure on yourself...

i would only do it that way if you are learning taking 1 or two hours a week and want to speed up the end....

i did a 7 day intensive over 28 hours.. i did that way after spending a year away, it is tough man.... really tough
