List your favourites! I want to download new films and am looking for something goddamn brilliant I've never heard of before.

Good blockbuster films like the Matrix and the Lord of the Rings everybody's heard of. Yup they're Great, truly, but we've already watched them. So, those relatively obscure or underappreciated films that are fooking awesome if you please

Crouching tiger sleeping Dragon brought chinese kung fu films into the mainstream western cinema. Hero, House of flying Daggers are fab too.Try Stephen Chow,who does kung fu comedies!Shaolin Soccer is my Fave.

Some brilliant fils have come up here, we prefer let the right one in, as opposed to let me in, although both are good.

I (Mrs) love boys dont cry, great film as it's a true story. Avatar is fantastic. Braveheart is one iv only recently seen and loved it! I could think of many more but il be here all night haha.

if you like violent action watch the punisher :war zone.

its different from the other punisher films and the actor in the lead role looks like the comic character and for once and plays him out correctly.

In fact I have watched all those movies you mentioned (!)

I recently watched kiki's delivery service and princess mononoke, I enjoy the attention to detail, Spirited Away is one of the best anime films there is.

I must look into Almodavar's stuff however, not heard of him.

you don't know what you have been missing !

i am working my way up to having all his films so far released on dvd.

deeply disturbing subject matter in some ways but put across in a very humorous manner.

a lot of sexual deviancy / homosexual undertones in many of his films too

That is very true. I can't stand dubbing though, it's like a terrible nightmare when you're trying to watch a good film, I far far prefer good text subs/srts instead. In many cases, that the sounds of voices are foreign adds to the colour, experience of a film.

Casshern for example, is an extraordinary Japanese sci-fi movie that is absolutely cringeworthy when dubbed, but completely transformed with subs.

Everyone has supplied lots of good suggestions, but actually I've already watched the majority of them.

I tend to go an movie watching sprees for days on end. I won't watch anything for weeks and weeks, and then I'll watch a ton of stuff. I even watched the entirety of The Sopranos continuously in 3.5 days (the series is 72 hours long...), having pizza/icecream and coffee delivered (and a store of energy drinks), and no sleep. Didn't remember the beginning, but it was amazing fun.

Ah! Those decadent westerners! Bourgeoisie! Bourgeoisie!
