Update on Frank (Aka Throbbinghood 777)

Not meeting

Hi all,

Just to let you know Frank had his stem cell transplant on Tuesday. He's been doing really well & his medical team are really impressed.

The next 12 days are going to be really hard for him as his body expels the old bone marrow & the new cells start to work their magic.

I can't see him until Saturday but FaceTime has been a bloody godsend!!

Thanks for all the lovely messages we've received so far & huge thanks to my bestie Testarossa for helping keep me semi-sane at an awful time xx

Hope it goes well. I donated stem cells for a transplant many years ago. The letter I later recieved from my donor remains one of my most precious posessions.

It's uncomfortable, but not terrible to donate and the outcomes for receipients are so good. If you can do it, please do.
