Now we are new to this site and noticed how quickly pwople are getting verified eapecially in our area and wonder if this is common practice , we understand that people leave and come back again but we wonder should people who have left not start at the beginning again like newbies where they have to get verified by other people than the ones who meet them on there last profile or last month or whenever they where last here just something we thought we would theow out there and see what others think . it might just be in our area this happens and nowhere else thanks

They do start at the beginning again, but why shouldn't you verify someone if you know them?

Let's not forget the main reason for verifications in the first place.

no, it happens everywhere and more often than not its the people on here that do the offering to re verify those that have left and come back...

I think the moral of the story is if you decide to leave fab it's a better idea to hide your profile to delete it. Why?

1) You don't lose your verifications

2) The people you have verified don't lose your verification of them.

3) You don't have to upload all your photos again

4) You don't lose your block list

5) I make use of the notes feature. I keep note of birthdays etc. You lose them too.

6) You won't be blocked by people who have filtered out newbies

There's probably more...

I think some fakes do it too, message people and say 'hi I'm back on, we met on my old profile, can you re-verify me' . If they message enough people some will fall for it.

As purespice says, the verifications are there so you know the people are genuine and as described, e.g. a couple and not a single guy pretending to be a couple. So, it's fair game to come on and ask people you've met before to verify you. I suppose you could argue that a guy might have come back on having left someone he was in a couple with on here and get false veris this way, though. I suppose the best way to safeguard against that would be to have the two ladies of both couples phone and chat before a meet or just meet in a very public place with cctv.

We've had people we've met leave the site, come back and ask if we'd reverify. I don't see a problem with it generally although if it had been a very long time since we'd met I might think twice. The new veri would be a bit generic though, really confirmation they're as the pics and that they were reliable.
