So my dear fellow formites...receiving a reply on another thread has prompted me to do this one...

My dress.

It's pink,I'd say Magenta ...but I get an awful lot of people saying 'lovely Red dress'.

So I would like to pass it over to you.....

What do you think it is Pink or Red?

Can't see it's too dark and small - but all my stuff is pink and on some phones it appears _ed apparently.

Bit of geek info. Pink and grey are the only colours that have special names when you add white to the base colour.

Green would just become light green etc. But black and _ed get special treatment by becoming grey and pink. What gives them the right to have special names?

Mind you I'm painting the house over the Easter weekend and you wouldn't believe the number of names they give for different shades of green in B&Q!

It could be dusky pink, or light _ed, or some other objects name that women use to describe a colour outside the 16 colour range that men can see...

Only solution is to take it off put it on the accurate colour detector I have built into my bedroom floor then think of something to do for the 37 minutes it takes to process the colour...

The only way to give a definitive answer is to meet you in person, or look on the website of where you bought it and check the colour there.

Half my friends: THE DRESS IS WHITE

Small minority of friends: *dig up information on the dress*

It depends on your gender what colour you saw.

Men are more sensitive to Green, Women are more sensitive to Red.
