You know I have noticed one negative thing common to nearly all the male replies on the 'woe' threads, and most of the female, and that is 'Failure to communicate enough interest in me'.

Number 4 for me is twofold - one it's to do with the ghosting thing. We women here get very used to men blowing smoke up our arses, being falsely complimentary, and then demonstrating the compliments were false by just forgetting to talk to us for weeks on end, popping up next time they are uberhorny with 'Hey how are you, fancy that meet yet?'

Thinking about it there is a point of 'critical mass' - a point where we have chatted to someone enough to know we genuinely like each other and both want to get together. At THAT point you know AND DEMONSTRATE that you both want to chat (maybe daily, maybe just weekly, maybe only monthly) to keep the friendship going regardless of when you can finally meet.

It's that genuine intent that I think many women here seek, and sadly often fail to find - hence probably their curt replies some of the time!!

I reckon there is probably a difference in the male and female perception of what communication is appropriate too.

2) Compatibility. Yeah, can't explain that one. I just can tell after reading a message or a profile if we might begin to get on. I can't fuck if we don't.

I don't know - I never play games and I think I would sooner stop talking rather than go to one word answers! It is difficult to answer a string of compliments though, you can only say 'Thank you' so many times
