I used to have a rough collie, he was more human than a lot of people I know, would love to breed them , but I'd end up keeping them all

If i recall correctly, it took me some 137 goes at doggy before i became a father.

The wife said "pop down town and put a notice in the paper." Two hours later job done. "Great" she says "How much did it cost?"

"£2,189.00" i replied. "Hell thats a lot" she said, "how come?" "Well, they asked me how many insertions, so i said once every day, and twice on Saturdays for three years."

As children we had a 'Lassie' collie and he was just the dog's bollox. We loved that dog but the binmen left the gate open once (remember those quirky days when binmen actually came in your garden to get the bins!), and the dog got out. My sister got married and moved out (it was her dog really) and we forgot about him. 4 years later I'd left school and was working as a postman in another part of town miles from where we lived and on my round one day I spooted this collie and knew it was him. I called his name (which he hadn't heard for 4 years) and he came running. I'd found him.

The years running wild had taken their toll on a thoroughbred and he wasn't well at all. He lasted a couple of years before we had to do the humane thing and let him go. It brings a lump to my throat just typing this out.
