I'm sure she was but it's her nasally twang that puts me off..

But I did enjoy listening to Sara Cox with her Bolton accent prior to that ..,

Plus she is funny and irreverent which is quite refreshing ....and so much better than Chris Evans

Unfortunately, he's still pretty much doing exactly that- its like listening to some sort of archive show- its total bilge!

I went 6Music about 5 years ago and rarely listen to the other BBC stuff, apart from R4 some mornings (as long as John Humpreys isn't in aggressive agumenative knob mode with anyone being interviewed- then i switch to R3 or Classic or put a CD/ipod on). Do still venture to R1 on a friday night fro the drive home from work, if its not too late for Pete Tong and some banging beats
