Was OJ simpson framed?

I am watching it now and quest red and it is interesting, the L.A.P.D was framing a guilty man, to cover up something, what is your view on it? They say evidence of this is quite overwhelming.

Don't know if it's the same show, but I recall a theory that his son from a previous relationship did it, and he covered it up for him. Personally, I think OJ did it - too much evidence pointing towards him and only got away with it by clever lawyers and an incompetent prosecution.

thankfully he was found responsible in civil court...i think if there was any 'overwhelming' evidence someone may have thought to mention it at the time

When they showed it on the news when it happened, his limosine driver said he waited for him for about 30 minutes, also that he saw someone that fit oj's description go into oj's house 10 minutes before oj came out of his house to go to the airport.

I did read that blood found that was meant to show he did it had anti coagulant in like from samples or blood donation

Fascinating case that throws up so many but interlinked issues. Covered brilliantly by the 8 hour (yes 8 hours!!) documentary; OJ : Made in America. It explores race issues in America, the cult of celebrity, the historic relationship between the LAPD and black people.

Shag in answer to your question, there is evidence to suggest that the police planted and tampered with evidence, saying that, there was more than enough probable evidence to convict him.

He wrote a whole book about how he did it. That was the leverage needed for the civil suit, as they couldn't convict him again for something he had already been found not guilty for.

The guy was an arrogant dick who got away with far more than he should have. Luckily the law caught up with him eventually. Although interestingly he's likely to only serve 9 years of his 33 year sentence. Looks like being rich really does help reduce prison sentences in the US.

I read a metropolitan police report into the police forensics operation into this case and they said the LAPD made this inadmissible as evidence, in a UK court would have been case dismissed and possible killer gone free.

In a case like this without this you're really got to play by the rules.

As said above, he's as good as admitted it in both a book and subsequent interviews. He is completely unashamed of it,still trying to sell his story from behind bars for his latest crime to drum up money. The case was very badly handled, the DNA was in its infancy and as such juries were suspicious of it,there is no doubt of that, but the civil court relied on far less convoluted submissions and he was,very quickly, found responsible.

He deliberately opened his hand wide to make it look like the glove didn't fit. He is the murderer. I can't believe he got off. Well at least he's inside now.

I've just watched all eight hours of the documentary.

It was fascinating and reminded me just why he was found not guilty (not the same saying he didn't do it)!

There was a "highlights" programme every Sunday on UK tv when the trial took place in 1995 and was transfixed by it each week.

Whatever you think of the defence team, it was a moment of courtroom genuius when Fuhrman was pleading the 5th amendment to every question and the final question was "did you plant the glove?". He pleaded the 5th one last time. That's when the game was up, not when he tried on the glove.

One thing always bothered me regarding OJs guilt. He was was an arthritis sufferer who supposedly killed two people. One of which was a big guy, almost half his age, who fought long and hard for his life (the offensive marks on his body show that). Yet Simpson only had one small cut on his finger.

I don't mean that I think he's innocent. It has made me wonder whether there was more to it at times (and I hate conspiracy theories!).

his arthritis didnt seem to stop his numerous 'star' appearances in golf tournaments...or pistol whipping victims of the crime he's currently serving time for..

Don't get me wrong - I think he's guilty.

It just made me think when, at the time, Goldman was widely reported to have put up a big fight and hand marks on him consistent with hitting out etc.

I hate conspiracy theories, but did wonder for a while whether some of the theories about there being a second assailant might have some weight.
