Fabulous! i passed my counselling course,am finally decluttering my house and am a very proud pierced,owned sub.My self esteem and self awareness are through the roof compared to a year ago.

What do i need to work on?

Not dancing when caned!

Oh and the bedroom, plan to get it decorated before the year ends.

I'd like to think that 2010 was the year I'd choose to forget.

1. Was given news I'd be blind within 3 months; turned out to be an error by specialist and I'm OK.

2. As part of bullying campaign by my employer, survived 4 disciplinary "charges" thanks to Union lawyers working ruddy hard to defend me.

3. Recovered from injuries sustained from accident at work and won compo.

So, entered 2011 in better mood, job still good, feeling better about life and...

Made Redundant in February!

Past accident leading to arthritis in my spine!

Job hunting is hell!

And facing an uncertain future!

But knowing my luck, if I have to go out to "sell myself" in local Red Light area, I'd have to pay the punters

Started year off with a change of job with my employer, it didn't work out and was made redundant at the end of May.

In January we were told that Kate's mom is terminally ill with a life expectancy of weeks rather than months, but she's still with us, fighting like a goodun, and we hope she will see this year out at least.

Have had a couple of inter_iews but no luck on the job front, so am thinking of starting up on my own.

We are going away to Turkey for a week tomorrow morning and will think about the work thing when I come back.

We've put swinging on hold for a little while, till our lives become a little clearer, but we are still doing socials.

Hope the second half of the year goes a bit better though

GOOD THINGS

A week in New York (January)

Joined Fab (March & ongoing)

Started my own business (April & ongoing)

Long weekend in Portugal (September)

BAD THINGS

Nearly losing Mum (New Year / January)

Being told my best mate has terminal cancer (June & ongoing)

All in all (with the exception of a nice holiday and meeting some lovely people) 2011 so far has turned out to be a difficult year.

Bad: I ignore the bad stuff apart from having all my hair cut off

Good: Way on target with my diet, now also started my fitness plan.

Targets for the rest of the year. Carry on as i am. Im also taking six months break from swinging.

New bathroom and bedroom gutted by end of year/early next year.

Oh and for my son to pass his driving test

Bad: I haven't managed to assassinate Dale Winton yet.

Good: I successfully gene spliced pocket fluff and belly button fluff to create Pocket Lint!

Targets: Looking at my World Domination Wall Chart I am a little behind with only 1,234 points ticked of 4,567. I might do two today to catch up, probably melt a mollusc AND badger a badger.

Good: my children are happy: eldest getting married, middle daughter moved boyfriend in, lovely lad and my baby has decided Derby not for her and going to a London uni, and living at home.

Decided to give "love" a chance with a lovely man.

My sister adopted a little girl from Brazil and looking forward to seeing her in September: ages since I've been to Italy.

I feel blessed, life is good!

Bad: still not won the jackpot on Euromillions!

bloody hell, had my 6 monthly re_iew at work this week and it was cr4p didn't think I would be looking at another one on here!

Worst thing being away from K so much

2nd worst thing, living on my own during the week

3rd worst thing, hate my job

4th worst thing hate my boss

ok I'm whinging

best thing - coming home and seeing K

2nd best thing, got a place we can entertain without the kids

3rd best thing met up with some lovely people new and old

Bad:

OH not having a contract for the first 3 months of the year

My dad dying in March and the funeral not being until May (and cause of death still unknown) and having to clear his flat (including a room of doom - full floor to ceiling of junk)

Good:

Meeting my half sister and getting on really well with her

OH getting a contract which is going well

Having fun on and off here

DS1 getting into the grammar school of his choice

Coming up:

More fun

Lots of work being done in the house - much overdue

Good - my relationship with my darling hairy Glaswegian...first year anniversary looming at the end of the month

Great swinging holiday in a cabin in the lakes in May, followed by a long weekend camping with swingers in Norfolk.

Working on - getting my crown replaced

getting a new bathroom

1st 6 months.... thinking everyday how lucky I am.. I am healthy, have a great family, interact with nice people, work in a role I really enjoy..purchased and improved a small holiday home and love every day I spend there.

next 6 months... much of the same I hope.

and for the next 12 months, I will remember people who are a lot worse off than me.. thro illness, loss of loved ones, redundancy, true hardship, starvation, exploitation and so on.

Bad.....my aunt, the last of my late Mum's sisters died in the New Year

Bad.....having to travel up and down to Sidcup in Kent to sort out her house clearance and subsequent property sale

Good.....after having an out of the blue offer to buy my business, I finally realised that I was actually in the way of the business developing and growing and sold it!

Bad.....the sense of loss after I had sold the business when I realised it took up half of my life and I missed it!

Good......my other half coming to the rescue and showing me I had an even better future by looking for a house in Spain!

Good....the news from my other half that this will be his last year in OB and that from the end of the next season we will see far more of each other!

bad - health has been pretty poor for a while.

bad - a load of political shit at work resulting in being threatened with disciplinary action.

bad - my favourite uncle's funeral was last week.

mostly good though:

despite all this shit, i've passed my first year at uni!

new kitchen and bathroom installed including a shower.

still in employment, although the organisation and management are shite, i am blessed to enjoy my job at present and fits around uni.

most of all, having my great supportive friends around me.
