If you could make a film about someone/something that really interests you from history what would it be?

London

The Berlin Wall always fascinated me, and there's not much out there about it. So I would look at the stories of those who were there at the time.

P.S. Watch Goodbye Lenin, it's amazing!

Boat people like my family roots. My grandma family was one of the last working families. Once the life blood of this country before railways and cars. A hard but fascinating life.

I,d Make a film about my nutty ex husband, it would make great viewing, he does stuff like kiss the stones and Stonehenge, sings in a band and is generally a Prat. I could start the film with him losing his virginity up a tree in the park. XXX

and without the shoddy bastards who did us all over, the world would be a much better place with all the amazing things he thought of- it would need to be a real account of just corrupt big business acted....not sure it would ever get made though without 'something' happening to stop it

Other than that, i've had an idea kicking round my head for a few years for a musical of all things- i bloody hate them, but its not exactly Mamma Mia fluffy, fluffy, happy ever after.

There have been loads of people that have lead such interesting lives and are barely household names.

Mary H Kingsley - Victorian African explorer

Mary Seacole - Jamaican born Crimean War hero

Cora Pearl - one of the greatest Parisian courtesans in the 1860's

Above all though, I'd love to make a decent film set during the French Revolution - maybe a War & Peace style family focused thing. Either that or a miniseries based on Thucydides histories of the Peloponnesian War.

Which idea was that for? I'll take that as approval for my future pitch to Netflix

The life's of Collins maccray and Richard burns in my opinion two of the greatest motorsport men to have ever existed. Bold statement I know and it does depend who you are into but for me they were great and both taken to early

A certain irony that they spent so much time driving on the brink of a fatal accident, yet lost out to disese and a helicopter crash

Awesome. And maybe some insight into his upbringing and background. I bet there are far more layers to that guy than meets the eye.
