...a sadness you could never deal with. i do it to protect you because i love you.

but one day you will feel it too. and you will know the meaning of life, the universe, and everything else.

maybe, idk, thinking of writing a book to get rid of all this pompous shit in my head?

My Own Little World

Not much.

If I don't feel like smiling I won't.

If someone says to me 'smile, it might never happen' they get told exactly why I don't want to smile. 30 seconds in, you can see the 'I wish I had kept my fucking mouth shut' look in their eyes. Maybe next time they won't try n be amusing.

Not much really, I'm pretty happy in my life, so the smile is reasonably genuine most of the time.

I ask them 'don't you think it already has?'

That does actually make me smile.

it is, been watching him slip away with a brain tumour for 12-13 months now. one thing though, on our journey through the various wards and hospitals he was on (he's home now) there are so many even worse off. as it goes, we still sort of have him for now and that alone is reason to smile. i refuse to wallow in self pity and misery, he'd hate that

Often enough a smile hides the emotions that are locked away to show the perception that all is fine

Some stuff we deliberately hide and other things we hide because actually we don't know these things about ourselves.

When we realise these things about ourselves, maybe we will be open about them and maybe we will not.
