Always been fascinated by suspensions (not the vehicle type before anyone starts

),seen it done at a few shows and events I've been to (mostly by lasses for some reason) and have been getting more and more tempted to give it a go.Has anyone on here ever been suspended?If so how was it?My main concern is the piercings tearing

I wouldn't trust myself to try rope suspension,I'd probably end up needing to be cut down

I'm really tempted by the piercing style suspension though,I find it fascinating

Love shibari and rope work. Perhaps get to a 'munch' or workshop specifically around suspension -- health and safety is paramount, whether it's hooks or rope suspending.

Only by rope. Very relaxing, although spinning isnt good especially when your blindfolded

It's definitely not something I'd try without the guidance of experienced hook suspension artists.The piercings are done differently to regular body piercings too so would definitely need the benefit of others experience to attempt a suspension.The history and background of suspension is really interesting too,I didn't realise its roots go so far back.Definitely on my to-do list!Might have a dabble with rope suspension first though before going in for the meat hooks,some of the pictures and videos I've seen are brilliant,and the live shows really are another level
