White boots

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I know it's wrong but I want a pair.

I was watching something from the 80s and one of the women had a pair of white boots just like the ones I had back then.

Retro over 50 could work, couldn't it?

What fashion staple of your past would you like to reclaim?

I saw someone wearing one just the other day. Go for it (but, perhaps, not for work ).

Oh nooo! I didn't have a fringe on mine. That would be a bit tarty for me back then.

If the right pair appears in my size there is a chance I'll find a way of justifying buying another pair of boots (to join the other 11 pairs ).

It is 12 if I count my walking boots, but if I count those then I should add the wellies too so I'm back to an odd number.

I still wear Dr Martens most days. Never grew out of the habit. I would though love a charity shop cord or velvet jacket again. And to be able to wear a matching scarf, beret and fingerless glove set with impunity. Or a puffball skirt, no one can tell how big your stomach or arse is in one of those bad boys.

Oh my, I had forgotten the scarf, beret and fingerless glove sets. I thought I looked so cool. Thankfully, there are no photos of this phase of my life.

I thought I was fat back then. Now that I am fat I rarely feel fat.

You can see your mons again so shimmy into a pencil skirt.

I'm thinner now at a size 14 than I have been my entire adult life. Oh, the clothes I could have worn! I could have had a short denim button up skirt in the nineties. But I was a size 20.

Have one now. Just think how you could work those buttons.

I'm at my fattest ever now. I must have found your lost weight.
