Hi does anyone have this and are they anygood? I have no idea about them and only £50 but are they worth it? Any down sides? Thanks.

The quality of the streams can be shite at times and you sometimes have difficulty getting onto some of the sports streams. Other than that, for £50 (you can do it yourself and save about £20), fill yer boots.

I had one and gave it to the grandkids, if that's any indication though. I just couldn't stand the low quality after investing so heavily in A/V equipment.

They are bloody great...films and box sets work perfect...so a little like a now tv box without the subscriptions oh and a lot more content....with all the latest movies which some on there before the cinema

Live streams like sport and pay for channels just take a little practice to find good links.

I would recommend a 2gb T95m box for around £30ish off amazon or eBay

I use mine 100% of the time, even for TV. Need a decent internet speed I think and other than old films/series etc the quality of the sound and picture is perfect for me

100% brilliant. Can't recommend them enough. Saving myself a fortune by not paying out for the cinema, sky or virgin etc etc. Has absolutely everything on kodi and more.

All broadband works but the faster it is the higher definition you can get.....mine on a speed test runs a about 2.5 mbps....which means standard definition is best without any buffering.

Fibre optic will give you 1080 quality easily but to be honest the standard definition is OK too

If you have fiber take the "booster" off it actually makes your signal strength lower than having it directly in the fibre socket on the wall

Not too young myself lol....I think if you Google Internet speed test something will come up to test it.

Just had a quick look and broadband speedchecker is the first to come up when you Google it.....that should do it for you

I bought one last week and followed the instructions from the internet to download kodi and I have to say I think the quality on some films is excellent. Sport is abit hit and miss.

Somehow it's also downloaded a stack load of porn somehow??

Get the retromania app for a fiver, life is so much easier. (Search retromaniaUK on Facebook)

Get yourself real debrid, Gives you access to more sources.

Get a VPN, to access blocked content.

Like I said, these are just quality of life suggestions,

That should be more than enough. We've got fairly standard non fibre broadband and the only time we struggle is when trying to watch HD film while kids are on you tube at same time. We've ditched our talk talk since getting it as there's no need for talk talk any more, firestick and kodi does it all and more!!

I find the quality fucking awful compared to DVD/Blu Ray and I've yet to find anything that supports 5.1/7.1 surround sound.

Ours was in the house for about 3 days before it was shuffled off to daughter's house. Or neighbours still use theirs and watching films there drives me nuts.

Run a hdmi micro from the tablet to the TVs and it's not cost you a thing.

But if you do like gadgetry, there's lots to choose. I'm running kodi on a android projector and watch everything at 200" of HD, 4K etc all on a white painted wall and a virgin internet only subscription to vivid 200. It's lightening fast ??

That's it you have virgin fibre.... a lot of the reasons people get a shitty experience of kodi is because they have a slow speed connection.....and try to watch above SD.....it is not the box it's your Internet speed.

We have a kodi box which we sometimes link to our projector and watch films in the garden on our screen whilst toasting marshmallows over our fire pit. Failing that we just hook it up to the tv. All run through virgin 200 mbs wifi.

If you have a Samsung or Philips smart TV you can download kodi for free directly onto the tv via their app stores so you don't need the firestick or any other external box.

To check your internet upload and download speed use this link it's the actual one BT use.

pm tried and failed in the courts to ban this, just like every movie producing country tried with P2P sites. Like pirate bay etc.

I use an android box loaded with Kodi, Showbox, etc, it brilliant for boxsets, series, and films!

I do however pay for a sports add on so I get every sports channel in full HD with less issues than sky for £50 a year!

Don't have a go at me, I've already stated I find the quality to be shite and my go to is still DVD/Blu Ray, a Netflix subscription, a TV license and Sky HD

I'm the daft fucker that still buys CDs and vinyl too while everyone else is streaming
