I don't have face pics public either, that's fine, do whatever you're comfortable with. I think a lot of people will pass your profile by though if you don't have any public photos at all. I have those profiles blocked from messaging me. (For all the good that filter does

)

If it works for you, go with it!

My face is kept private (there's enough suffering in the world without unleashing that to an unsuspecting public) but, likewise, may be issued to a select few.

In all honesty though your chances of meet success will be higher with some public pics on display even if anonymous / no face showing.

Lots of women will skip on by if they see just a silhouette.

Like I say would post or private message when I need to.

But most profiles only have pics of peoples bodies or body parts. So doesn't show the face or smiles of someone.

We like to see at least one face pic as to us that it were the attraction starts.

Ours are on our profile.

Everyone has a choice of if they want to show their face or not.

A silhouette doesn't really appral to us though.

That's all well and good, but my concern is what happens if the database gets hacked and all photos and attached info are in the hands of someone. That's someone who has your public, private and photo-veri pics, your postcode, date of birth and email. Assuming you entered them on registration.

That's why I share face pics seperatley and am not photo-verified.

Men sometimes message and say 'will send a face pic if interested'. The problem is, how do we know if we are interested if we don't know what they look like? There are so many single guys out there, and the majority send face pics with first message, so unfortunately we're just not likely to notice you if there is no face pic. Do what you want, but accept that expecting people to ask for a face pic will probably be making it more difficult for yourself.

My attitude is, if you can't be bothered to put a profile picture up and it doesn't have to be your face.. I won't even bother going to your profile to see if you got any pictures because you're just another faceless black silhouette among all the other black silhouettes.

But obviously how one chooses to use this site is entirely up to them, and if it works for you then continue what you're doing.

I guess that depends on if they hack the photo of you holding a hand written sign saying "I'm on fabswingers" or whatever. Many people, myself included, would rather that could never enter the public domain.

I have a face pic in private and I'm happy if a man does the same so we can share them privately but I do like a few photos on a man's profile so I can see if I'm interested. No profile pic and I don't bother clicking to view the profile.

I've never quite understood those that do not have an avatar but do have non face public pics. Just make one of them your avatar, what's the issue??

You can do a lot with very little information. Whether that is through a database hack or social engineering.

- Do you use the same username on any other site or messaging service?

- Do you re-use the same password anywhere else?

- Is it your personal email account you used to set this profile up?

- Did you add you current postcode on registration?

- Did you add your real date of birth?

You only need one or two bits of real data to very quickly build a picture about someone and have access to their life.

This might sound a bit paranoid to some, but the list of (very large) websites and businesses that have had user databases hacked is endless. Sometimes they encrypt the data, a lot of times they don't. Why would you think Fab has any more sophisticated security that Yahoo, Adobe, Dropbox, eHarmony, Sony etc. etc. (Google Breach Alarm)

It's sensible to evaluate the impact of a data breach on your life and protect your personal data accordingly.

It is very simple, but it's unbelievable the amount of people that don't do it and don't take care with their online accounts. I could post lots of ways people can compromise themselves or give out information that seems completely innocuous but could lead to all sorts of trouble.
