Bacon Butties...

Some people prefer Tomato Ketchup...

Some people prefer Brown Sauce...

Some strange people who don't deserve bacon prefer Mayonnaise...

Personally, you can't go wrong with a nice, hot, English Mustard.

How do you prefer yours?

I had an eggy bread bacon butty yesterday with a bit of HP sauce.

But for me, it really has to be either bacon and egg or bacon and mushroom. And the bacon has to be on the right side of crispy. Streaky's the way to go.

I'm going to try mustard. I've never even thought of doing that. I only spread the brown filth if cheese is involved. Like a bacon and cheese oatcake. I think ketchup is for fries and burgers.

Mayo?!?! On a bacon butty??? Even on a BLT it's probably grounds for a kicking.

But I'm gonna do the mustard on thick smoked bacon on white door step bread.

No sauce at all, just bread and butter. Why ruin delicious bacon by dousing it in an overpowering sauce, it's blasphemous!

Ketchup is for fishfinger butties only!

Hovis best of both, a couple rashers of thick cut bacon, almost crispy with Daddies brown or HP Smokey Barbecue. Occasionally I'll sling some mushrooms in there as well if I've got any

Just bacon -butter

Bacon, mushroom and Tom's -brown sauce

Bacon and egg -red sauce

Bacon, lettuce and Tom - mayo

Bacon salad -ranch

Bacon and cheese -Branston pickle

Yes I've given this lots of thought!
