As I am sitting here watching top of the pops in the back ground.

Who remembers and can name their good old favourites from the pops?

Mine, The police with walking on the moon.

The re-runs on BBC4 for the past few years have been good , also cringeworty seeing some of the clothes that we wore in that era

Oh I loved Top of the Pops. I liked groups such as Bros and Erasure, and even Rick Astley. Sad I know but I was just a youngster.

I can remember watching them play that on TOTP, like it was yesterday! I miss Thursday nights in the youth centre with us all crowded around the 24 inch redivision Tv. The one that sticks out for me is dexys midnight runners! Brilliant memories!

Used to love watching TOTP2 at nans on a Saturday. Personal favourite was Hit me with your rhythm stick, so much so that I managed to go and see The Blockheads a few years ago. Gutted I never got to see them with Ian Drury though

Top of the pops was never the same again for me after seeing David Bowie doing Starman with the spiders from mars.

All of a sudden England lit up.
