How does anyone have a lie in when staying in a city?

I've been awake since 4.15am, it's so noisy.

Typical when I could of slept in until 9am.

It's going to be a long day so if anyone would like to bring me coffee, that would be most appreciated.

Takes a while but you get used to it. Send me to sleep now.

How do you have your coffee then? X

Early mornings are my default setting these days. I've been reprogrammed by shift working amongst other things. It's a pain in the arse especially after a late night.

Black coffee no sugar, please.

I don't sleep much either because I work a stupid amount of hours. Im so used to it now that I feel worse if I sleep too long.

Shift work is a nightmare, sends you all over the place.

London

I live in a city centre and currently I can hear nothing, not even the low drone of traffic audible on top of Old John at Bradgate Park and that place is fairly remote and big.

Oh wait, the bloke in the apartment above me is snoring...again.

Tredegar

We live in to a wood and what ever visions of tranquillity that conjures up is far the reality. Birds are noisy bastards from four in the morning! And squirrels think it's perfectly acceptable to break nuts open on the roof of the house all day long so it sounds like someone's using a jackhammer! Fuckers the lots of them!

Ready! X

I'm pretty lucky in that most of the hotels I've stayed in have had decent soundproofing except one in London that had earplugs in the room!
