I'm really looking forward to it this year- the cars are much faster and will test the drivers like they use to

Anybody who else a fan? Fingers crossed ferrari/red bull are competitive with Mercedes this year!

This will be the last year I watch it if the excitement doesnt come back in to the sport.

As for who wins... anyone but Hamilton please!

From the pre season testing it looks to be another year for the silver arrows. The only difference is a new team mate for Hamilton.

Will Mclaren make the race end?

But the cars are now wider, yet track widths are the same. Indeed, if track limit regulations are enforced, tracks will be effectively narrower. Won't make for good overtaking......We shall have to wait and see, but am looking forward to a new season. Max to surprise everyone and push Lewis all the way.

I watched a few races of F1, I keep thinking how good these drivers would be without all the driving aids.

I like F1 but it seems to me that unless the driver has a lot of sponsors they don't get taken on by the team. So are the current drivers the best. I'm not sure but hopefully I will still enjoy the new season

Pre season tests gave us an indication that Ferrai seem competitive but it's difficult to read into times. Fuel loads, weight, engine modes etc.. we have no idea who was doing what.

Personally I think Mercedes are still the team to beat but the gap will be closer. I do have a couple of concerns though.

The tyres seem far too durable and one stop races might make a comeback .

Cornering speeds are greater whilst straight line speeds are slower. Overtaking will be harder so DRS zones may be extended to allow for I creased chance to actually overtake.

Despite all of this, I'm really looking forward to the start of the season. So many unanswered questions. The bullshit stops they say and we get to see exactly who's who.

Widr cars must mean less overtaking and I sm sure that within a few races we will know that one of two drivers will win it as they have the best technology of the current year. They should all have the same car to see who is the best driver like formula 3 which is much more exiting

Lots of good views,

Its easy to underestimate how hard these Modern f1 cars are to drive though, Driver aids or not!

Also F1 has always been a technology/arms race- its why I love it so much, as an engineer it wouldn't be the same if they all had the same car.

Pretty much my take on testing too but red bull have to show anywhere near there race spec car yet.

I think the durable tyres will allow drivers to push for longer so the quicker drivers will shine more and hopefully allow them to overtake better.....

I have been an F1 fan for as long as I can remember but I'm very sorry to say that it's got to the stage now that I'm looking forward to the start of the MotoGP/2/3 season more. I know which one I'll be watching first on sunday.

Me and my mates alternate between Spa and Silverstone. Spa is the better track in my opinion and I love the drive over there and the camping

I do miss the old engines that had a really high pitched 'scream'. You could feel it in the pit of your stomach and it gave you goose pimples.

I am so fucking excited for this season.

I'm not expecting this year to be the most exciting ever. But with Liberty Media and Ross Brawn at the helm, this will be the beginning of something great.

I'm expecting/hoping for a Hamilton win, but I would love to see Ricciardo take the championship.

I also think Ferrari are going to a huge contender this year but I've been wrong about that before.

its about time it went back to the old style of racing when racing was a spectator sport. This current stuff has not thrill about it. Sad when the excitement comes from if they crash at the start.

The cars will be the fastest they have ever been in 2017 and the new tyres will allow the drivers to push hard every lap so heres hoping the excitement comes back.

Trackside experts have certainly been getting excited

Not convinced the changes to the cars will make any difference to overtaking. Those good at overtaking will still be good those not so good will still struggle and rely on pit stops.

We will have to wait a couple of years for Ross Braun to be able to introduce changes that make a difference.

That said I still enjoy watching and will probably be watching on my mobile this Sunday. As I am in Londinium taking part in the Head Of the River Race.

I am an F1 fan!

My god the scenes were incredible and moving...

Ayrton Senna the greatest driver of all time had 65 pole positions. Lewis Hamilton achieved that! Woohoo

The Senna family gave Lewis a priceless gift... wowzer!!

Imagine the feelings of getting Ayrton's actual helmet he wore in his races!

Amazing!

Getting Ayrton's helmet may have a different meaning on here
