I've just ordered a 55" fancy new tele, it was supposed to be 49" but I thought fuck it (not literally). Can something ever be too big? How big is yours? Can you get it all in?

I went from 32" to 42" then 55" and now I'm on 65".

When this one dies, and I hope that's not for the foreseeable future. I'll go bigger again! 75" minimum! When it comes to watching/gaming. Nothing is too big!

Mine is only 43", which is plenty big enough as I only have a small house

Well sometimes the picture will just disappear, but still have sound,if I switch it off for a couple of min's and switch it back on it's fine. Other times it's just a rubbish picture when I first switch it on,but will settle to a normal picture within 30 min's or so?!

Sound but no picture indicates a possible signal panel failure. The temperamental screen issue of it needing to warm up before giving a clear picture indicates a screen failure is imminent.

Do you have lines down the screen before it returns to normal?

I don't own a television.

My daughter had a huge one, that was ridiculous in her living room. She bartered it off her dad.

Is it a Sony? The motherboards on them pack up quite quickly. My daughter was quoted £200 to get hers fixed.

It is indeed...that's it I don't want to get someone in because I know that will cost a fortune.

Ooh good question I think the lines are going across actually, but I'll need to check when it's doing it again I may be wrong. So you're basically saying get saving?!

Yes, sadly the screen is on its way out. You can get replacement screens, but compared to what you can pick TVs up for nowadays I don't think it's cost effective.
