So when you've been here a year, perhaps you'll updated your profile.

Those profiles I've seen that start with

---Updated----

Always seem to include a negative vibe.

Don't send....Please read....must...you won't read this.....etc.

Has anyone ever updated/changed there profile in a good way. (I know some use it to filter)

If you were to change your profile text, could you reflect a positive experience from being on fab and swinging.

I've always been a believer of leading and practicing what you preach.

The way I've seen things, the longer I'm here, the more crap experiences I should try to put in my page.

Were you naive when you joined and now wise to it all?

Have you found yourself sicked in with the 'filter trend'.

I tweek the odd phrase on my profile on a weekly basis according to my hormones. I do find the demanding profiles as outlined in your post OP rather off putting, they're just negative.

Some women here are total dreamers though, they want the moon on a stick, yet offer nothing attractive in return. Then there's the single line profile that's says woman wanting men. What's that about?

mine says i'm not accepting messages, coz i'm not and blocked everyone.

i never demand anything on my profile when i am looking coz guys think if they fit certain criteria that i am looking for then they're definitely gonna get a fuck/meet. i think it's maybe why i've not really had any abuse on here?

i just say what i'm up for (and this changes so i change my profile when it does) and that is about it.

I change mine regularly and have usually been complimented on what I've got. At the moment I'm not meeting and I state that, I don't feel it's in a negative way and neither has previous profiles.

I like to nose at people's profiles, men's and women's, and I've read some absolute genius ones and ones where I wonder if they have ever got any meets, due to being shouty, negative and really just rude. But as it always stated on here, it's your profile, do as you see fit.

But do you think your influenced by the tone of other profiles you've read?

The perfect example is 'Sydney uni' or 'men don't read this, why bother'.

Do we have any proof in either of those statements, other than what I've read?

possibly does work, if their profiles get read. some men do understand what it's like for women online so will also understand the need to demand certain things or be ranty about them.

i also think it helps give the more oblivious men some insight into what it's like for women and some couples, because why would they need to ask to be respected really?

i've also had the 'treat her with respect' veris from some guys on here because i talk to them about what my inbox is like or what previous (shit) meets have been like. people laugh at that but nobody would verify me like that is was being respected already.

but like some have said it puts them off, so it won't help all the time.

i do think telling guys how to act means fake guys will get past your 'hoops' though, so that is another negative.

plus many think the profile holder is acting entitled when they might just be saving time and not wasting guys they don't want to meet time.

I am back with a new profile and for one believe it's not my job to tell others how to fab or how common decency and respect works. Keeping it to my likes and humour. As for any messages that are not respectful or negative, I ignore...not my monkey

I'm influenced to not be shouty or ranty because I think it's a bit rude. And I've certainly not had Sydney uni on mine although it was a rookie error on a couples profile when I first joined fab, and that was because we had seen it on someone else profile, so yes to that we were influenced by others.

But mine now are all mine, and hopefully convey a little of my personality.

I've tweaked ours a bit but, in a positive way. As when we first joined wasn't sure what to write. I do get put off the demanding profiles, and negative ones. Perhaps people become jaded with so many messages that aren't what they hoped for.

Theres no need to put your age in profile write up,as its in your personal info,but it shows how little an effort is being put in when you see they've aged 5 yrs and profiles not been refreshed

Just where I need to be.

I have tweaked mine since joining. I don't demand but I do ask in a slightly humorous way what I'm not looking for.I'm happy with it and don't see any reason to change it. I'm not a ranty person in real life so my profile reflexs that.

I would rather not have do and donts or likes and dislikes but I try to reply to as many as possible but I feel I am saving them time and also my time if I list my likes/dislikes. This is right. Try and present yourself in a profile. By saying

"I prefer a social first." It's almost the same as.

Fancy a fuck = block.

I'm not telling anyone how to write a profile. (Nobody will if you ask them anyway, I've tried. )

I've only noticed a lot of the negative ones sound similar.

The positive ones sound unique in a way. Speaks a little of the persons personality.

We have recently tweeked ours a little, but we think it's equally as positive as when we first joined

We love fab and we've found we love clubs, townhouse being our fave, we love fab as much now as we always have

We have changed our pics a little though, and that's down to a little forum influence and we have changed our username again influenced by the forums and the embarrassment of telling people in clubs what our old name was mind you, we did originally join for a giggle, didn't think we would still be here Mrs blue eyes

Mine gets the odd tweak here and there but that's it....I do think about re-writing it from time to time as it may be a little on the long side, but I think it's a fair reflection of who I am, what I'm looking for and most importantly what I offer, so am wary of changing it too much and losing that.

I change mine every so often. I have a couple of important pieces of information on there, so I can refer people back to the terms and conditions, if they get out of their prams when they offer something I don't want, or don't have something I'm looking for.

Other than that, I usually waffle a bit, and add more waffle.

I've learned to keep mine vague. If I say what I'm looking for they just say yeah they are xyz even if they're not.

Yes I have been influenced by others in the past. However the longer I have been here the more I realise you just need to be yourself.

Personally I believe it's better to say what you are looking for and can offer, rather than what you don't want. I for one am terrible at reading between the lines and need it spelt out to me.

I haven't changed mine since I joined fab, apart from saying that I don't do veris from meets anymore. I take quite a long time to do them and I got sick of the pestering. I DO take a LONG time getting round to doing them, so it's fair comment.

I don't get any messages because I have a lot of filters.

So I'm a happy bunny really....

I changed mine after being on here a while and didn't feel the need to be negative with anything. I'd much rather spend time chatting with folk to find out if we get along rather than start off on a vibe that says "you have to be this and I won't even consider it if you aren't exactly that". But then they can be that way if they want. It might work for them.

Lots of tweaks, re-writes, edits, deleting and adding, and my profile is where I am now.
