Happy places ..

Snug, warm and comfortable in bed, rain lashing against the windows ...

On a warm quiet beach .. sound of the waves lapping against the shore as the sun gently warms your skin ..

Curled up on the settee with a warm hot chocolate and a good book ..

What's your safe and happy place or places?

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

My bed is my safe place. Sometimes it is also a happy place.

Safe, happy and, above all, calming is the house I rent in Lyme Regis.

Happy can happen anywhere though.

Cuddling my children.

Also there is a gorgeous hotel I visit, high upon a cliff top, with a lounge with comfy sofas and roaring open fire, and views over looking the stunning North Yorkshire coast. That makes me feel so content and happy too.

Lying in bed with mr, with a good book while having a cuddle.

Sitting round the dinner table with my kids listening to them laughing as they swap banter about each other.

Cruising along a forest fireroad on the bike miles away from the nearest soul makes me feel utterly alive. That's my happy place.

My second option would be on the sofa with our dachshund, who's usually asleep upside down

In my head, when I'm listening to songs on Youtube.

Physically, I rarely feel safe. A legacy from my marriage, unfortunately.

"my head/brain. there's a lot in there to protect me."

My brain does the opposite. That's why I listen to music-it stifles it.

Mostly snugged up in my bed with a good book and the cat for company.

On a nice day, being with my horses, riding across Salisbury Plain.

Sitting on top of an outcrop near Newquay, all you see is the sky and the sea.

All very happy calming places for my busy mental brain xx

I would like a happy place that is sunny and has a field of sunflowers, wafted by a warm breeze.

To Tiffany, get help, there are people that can sort that out for you, maybe not completely but help you feel safe. Whatever he did, don't let him ruin your life.

My happy place is a little nook in the rocks on the cliff head overlooking Mullion Cove in Cornwall. Haven't been there for years, but it can still make me smile.

In the arms of my children giving me a hug. I sniff their hair.

I also hug my dog and sniff his fur. He often smells of perfume.

I'm a weirdo
