Inbox Messages Don't Add Up

I read on a woman's profile earlier that they were off the site for a few days and came back to over 400 messages.

Quite alot of messages and it got me thinking about these messages and who was actually sending them.

The particular city they are from has a limited amount of people living there. "Are there even 400 members of this site from there or nearby?" I wondered "and if there were, how likely is it that they'd all message this one person in such a short space of time?"

I'm thinking most of the messages are from fake accounts or from people who live far away and just want online fun.

So, ladies can you tell me of all the messages you get how many do you think are from anyone that is actually real and could actually meet?

How many are fake and/ or from people from hundreds or thousands of miles away?

I'm genuinely curious about this.

I get lots of uk messages, which is really funny. and even as far afield as the canaries and dubai lol. Seems the channel islands are closest by... Makes travel for a meet a little tricky..

Some people just message for a chat or to pic collect

Yeah girls get messages from guys hundreds of miles away. Its worse if you have a photo in hot pics.

A lot of women lie as well it is just posturing in some cases a lot if attention whores. The 1's who have strict filters and aren't after picture fabs etc get considerably less.

it also depends on what their age range is and whether they have active filters, if they have uploaded new pics.. there are a number of factors involved tbh

i had a fair amount of americans messaging me not long back, no idea why. i also get guys from london messaging a lot as well as scotland and ireland.

apart from them it's mostly guys in nearby areas. i'm not in any of these areas but most of messages come from, blackburn, preston, bolton, manchester, warrington, blackpool, wigan, bury, maybe some others i've forgot too.

i think most want to meet but late at night you do get a lot wanting kik, cam, or dirty chat.

It can vary from 10 to 40 a day I guess for me sometimes more or less and no not from my area which is more annoying as I do say in my profile must be local. Would say about 98% of messages are from outside my area with a few Americans or Irish messaging me.

Why?!?! I am gonna be meeting, possibly a couple of guys from Scotland...and definitely one from Weymouth... most of the guys that message me are from at least 30 miles away...if they are ok with that and the long wait then I am too if they are what I am looking for!

I was under 50 years old when I joined Fab and had too many to deal with, constantly, so my filters were tight. Now I'm closer to 60 and I don't get all that many, probably around 5-10 a day and most of those are from men who don't read my profile.

We get a lot of messages, but 90% are from people we specifically say we don't want to hear from I'm our profile. Or are very far away.

Messages may not be all from unique users - several may be from the same ones.

Generally not fake, though not all are that well composed of more than about four words.
