A lot of guys seem to block me if I don't respond to their message. Often I don't get to read them because they message when I'm on hot photos and therefore inundated! Days or weeks later - when I notice their message and like their profile pic - I try to respond/read the profile only to find that I've been blocked!

If this is why YOU block op - then yes I'd say unblock!

If, however, you blocked because they were obnoxious shits - then leave them blocked! X

Why not, some of them might have upped their games, matured, or grown as people.

Plus, they don't get a message saying "You've been unblocked"... and you can always block any of them again.
