I liked to annoy my mate by saying that I prefer Private Press over Endtroducing (which I do)

Redditch

Guns'n'roses.

Appetite for destruction

It set such a high standard, not saying that nothing they have done since has been good, but nothing has been better.

Think I'll listen to it now.

That was my first thought too and I echo the sentiments. Few bands have made such a good debut album as this.

Not my cup of tea but I guess Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells must rank highly on the list of all time First Album success

Dublin/Leitrim

Pearl Jam

Danzig

Black Flag

King Crimson

A Perfect Circle

Audioslave

Rage Against the Machine

And regarding Interpol I think Antics is a stronger album.

I don't think any of their subsequent albums were as good.

PP's alright. I'm not even that high on Endtroducing now though I was at the time, its just if he hasn't bettered it by now he's probably not going to.

'Deadringer' by RJD2 is similar but better, and again is a debut that won't be bettered by its maker. Really fun album.

Worthing

Every track on the first Van Halen album is a classic. The rest are good but there is always one or two tracks that I am not keen on.

That would be the sixteenth album, if you don't count those released by "Adge Cutler and the workers"
