Addit drops the bomb and backs away slowly..

It's probably been covered rather frequently in the politics forum.

Aye ...Haggis is by far a finer dish than common English Tripe, when I first crossed the border and invaded Englandshire I was offered English Tripe, I almost vomited and realised why Bonnie Prince Charlies Highlanders left Englandshire they could no stomach the English Tripe either ...

Long live they cheiftain O they pudding race...

Who cares what the sweaty socks do?

I think we should vote on if us, wales an Ulster want Scotland in the U.K. And cut em loose if that's what the rest of the UK want.

Probably save Britain a fortune.

Aye, maybe so as have no sampled it, but you have to remember the vast bulk of northern ireland are desendants of Lowland protestant Scots whom were put there long ago, no doubt they took the secrets of the haggis with them...

Wakefield

The Scots did not invent Haggis, it was cooked in England before any written record of it being cooked in Scotland and the Romans ate it before the English.

Apart from that there should be no referendum until after brexit

I write that as a person born and bred in Scotland but denied a voice in the first referendum as I live in England

My thoughts are... maybe another once in a life time referendum should go ahead.. I also feel that it shouldn't be before brexit... it will take the government's eye of the brexit deal (and I voted to stay in europe). We need to fight to get the best outcome for the UK as a whole... the snp knows the government will be thinly spread if they go for sexit before brexit... that's why they are pushing for it...

Aye!, Fight and you may die. Run and you will live at least awhile. And dying in your bed many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one cahnce, to come back here as young men and tell our enemies that they may take our lives but they will never take our freedom!!!

Yours truly

A sweaty sock.

I got two tins of haggis in Tesco tonight. Yet again many many years ago me anf brother was in family's house near Glasgow. When we had our first tined haggis. So we ate it. Then got a toy one in shops. And told wee cousin it's what a haggis looked like .She was 6. She's now nearly 40. And we did the same to her daughter x.A few years ago.

Yet again i can't say nothing about being a dum kid my grandfather used to tie tins of beans peas and fruit on a dead tree in his garden.for years me brother and cousins believe him

Why does the SNP want independence from the UK just to give it away again to the EU?

A world of my own

As a Scot, I don't like haggis.. traitor eh!

However in answer to your question I voted for independence in 2014. I voted to stay in Europe. I will vote for independence again.

Not because I have a dislike of the English but because I dont feel the current government acts in the best interests of the majority of people and certainly not in mine.

While its not meant to be about the politician's, I'd far rather have women like Nicola and Marhi as opposed to Theresa May.

Marhi Black speaks more sense than I've ever heard from anyone in Westminster.

I admit, lots of political stuff I don't understand or haven't taken an interest in, however I see independence is a chance to change the future as opposed to continue as we have been, which often seems like a path to self destruction.

I don't tend to get involved in these types of threads for good reason, they usually get nasty.

Hadrian's Wall never was, and never has been the border between England and Scotland.

When I see the thread title I thought it was one of those "slang words for wanking" threads!! Sooo disappointed to see it's about politics

Not my area of expertise or interests, so I'll grab my coat

Only because England and Scotland didn't exist back then

morning... I'm not opposed to a referendum. .. the United kingdom is exactly that... if a part of the UK wants to be independent then I feel it's their right... I just argue the timing is wrong... by the government focussing on the Scottish referendum they will not be focussed on the best outcome of brexit for the 4 nations... to be fare... this buzz was created because I liked the title...
