The camera never lies....well I think it does.

Often when I meet people they look better in the flesh than in their face picture.

What's your thoughts? Lie or not?

true some people and some faces are more photogenic that others that's why some people look more attractive in the flesh and others less so sometimes xxx

I hate having or pictures taken of myself

Very self conscious of my nose in photos and I think it makes me look like a rat

But some of you seem to think I look ok when you actually met me

I think guys find it way harder to do face selfies. A recent meet was way better in the flesh and that's always a nice surprise!

I recently met two men who looked much better in the flesh. Their faces were more alive and happier looking in the flesh. I think men go for the mean and moody look, when they take photos; whereas, I like a smiley face.

I look in the mirror and think I look ok. ...I take a pic and suddenly I've turned into a gurning baffoon! How does the camera do that? Seriously it takes ages to get a face pic that even looks remotely human. Yet I don't look that bad in real life. I don't get it.

Photos can't convey expressions & emotions.

Some peoples faces 'light up' when they talk for example, changes their look completely.

Im the opposite

I look much better in pictures than I do in person.

Only in pictures I take though - looking through pictures other people have taken of me I look like a gigantic goofy baloon

We both really struggle to get good face pics. Never looks like it does in the mirror. But never had any complaints when we meet people in the flesh... but then why would they complain?

Sent my face pic to someone here (who shall remain nameless) as part of Face Pic Friday, she responded "Now there's someone who doesn't like having his picture taken" - and that about sums it up really.

I wouldn't mind but it was bang on the mark - hate posing for pictures, my face seems to take on a mind of its own!!

as obviously we are all definitely much better looking in the flesh

pictures make your features look flat, apart from that one thing on your face that you don't like...then they accentuate it so much you end up looking like the elephant man or lady

I think they can highlight the qualities of the model, hide things they're not happy about. I wouldn't say it's a lie though. So many of met look better in the flesh, as you say

I hate having my photo taken and that shows in my pictures..

As for cameras lying, yep they certainly do..

Thank heavens for photoshop to be able to tone down the awful skin tones and shadows in the wrong places the flash produces and remove those blemishes and pimples that really are not that obvious in the flesh..

In pictures I take I probably look better than in the flesh and pictures other people take i look worse. I do have to take about 20 pictures to get one I don't hate though.

I hate pictures of me. Im never confident when im asked for a picture. Im more confident in the flesh.

previous experience of people we have met, there photos look better and make you look a lot younger, unless the pics were taken yrs ago lol

I take terrible photos. I always get comments that I don't smile in selfies, but I find it hard to concentrate on taking a good picture and smiling so it looks natural. The result is just shit.

Face wise I'm not very photogenic I guess some people look better in 3D than 2D and of course the other way around.

Depends on a lot of things, when it was taken, lighting, quality of camera and has it had an post work done to it.

In general people are going to be more appealing in 3 dimensions.
