Surprised apple haven't launched an i-doll yet. Or have they? Mmmm, sorry just pondering.

Right, one of my idols is definitely Maya Angelou. Such wisdom and sass.

My mum. Why idolise a complete stranger just because they are famous??

Lots of ordinary people do wonderful thing just because they can not because they need to be seen doing so. Just a thought

Acting - ramin karimloo as he was the guy who played the phantom the first time i saw it and as ive wanted to play that part more than any other ive always liked him

Science - john nash the guy russel crowe played in a beautiful mind, schizophrenic but still able to function and produce nobel prize winning research is impressive.

Sport - kevin sinfield and paul scholes world beating sportsmen who are just nice guys too and both from where i grew up

I can understand that. But why idolise famous people? The life you see is not the person they are. It's hype to make them look good. Quite shallow people in my opinion.

Put people of a pedestal and the only place they have to go is down....

I agree to that too, the people i chose to look up to are people who have been succesful in careers i want to follow. One of them is a schizophrenic sufferer and that inspired my masters dissertation because i wanted to understand the brain chemistry, if i didnt look up to him i wouldnt be were i am today because i wouldnt have done that research

The others are nice people who havent cheated and did their jobs to the best of their ability, something i try to do to

in the eye of the storm

my mum for raising me as a single parent in the 70s and 80s

one of my uncles for always making me feel included instead of a outcast .

my step dad god rest his soul for being more of a father figure to me than my own dad ever was .

king Leonidas and the 300 Sparta's who with out there sacrifice at Thermopylae i doubt we would live in a democracy like we do today .
